RYAN CUNNINGHAM

Ryan Cunningham is Chief Financial Officer for Progress Rail, with a focus on strategic planning and services growth, financial reporting and analysis, decision support activities, and compliance.

Ryan began his career at Caterpillar in 2006, and has since held positions within Global Mining, Energy & Transportation, business unit support, and corporate consolidations. He has supported ERP implementations, growth initiatives, restructuring activities, standardization, and simplification of reporting and LEAN processes. Prior to being promoted to his current position in 2023, Ryan served as Progress Rail’s rolling stock controller, where he developed a deep understanding of the rail business, customers, and industry.

Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Illinois State University and is a Certified Management Accountant.

He and his family reside in Guntersville, Ala.
