COMMUNITY OUTREACH

At Progress Rail, we understand the importance of giving back to our communities, which is why we started Christmas for Kids, Project Literacy and Project Graduation. Our goal is to serve at-risk kids to help them succeed in life!

With Project Literacy, we strive to ensure children in our area are set up for success with mentors who help them with reading comprehension. Having a volunteer encouraging struggling readers on a weekly basis has made a lasting impact on their lives.

Project Graduation encourages students to graduate from high school and shows them what options are available after school with a diploma. Like Project Literacy, volunteers are a crucial part of this program’s success.

Christmas for Kids raises money each year through a golf tournament, with proceeds used to purchase presents for the holidays. Parents who are struggling financially don't have to worry about the added stress of putting presents under the tree on top of their normal responsibilities, and children are able to receive toys, coats, shoes, socks, and other essentials they might not have otherwise.
