Executive Vice President of Infrastructure
Hyung Kim is executive vice president of infrastructure, with responsibility for global track and signaling for Progress Rail.
Hyung joined Progress Rail in 2013 as vice president for the signaling business. He started his career in the marine and power industries, working for Wartsila Corporation, where he held positions as a service engineer and service manager for customers throughout North America and the Mariana Islands. He later worked for the General Electric energy and transportation divisions in their mergers and acquisition group, culminating in his role as director of business development. Hyung also had an opportunity to join an alternative fuel technology start-up company, where he led their business development activities.
Hyung holds a bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering Systems from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and a master of science degree in Industrial Administration (MBA) from Carnegie Mellon University.
