Next Chapter of International Excellence for Signaling Industry, with New Branding Strategy and Legal Entity for ECM S.p.A

PISTOIA, Italy – Today Progress Rail, a Caterpillar company, announces a change in the legal entity name from ECM S.p.A. to Progress Rail Signaling S.p.A. While the company name is changing, ECM will remain as a product brand for Progress Rail. The registration was filed with the Pistoia Companies Register on 18 July 2022.

"We are changing the corporate name from ECM to Progress Rail to drive consistency and clarity for our customers,” said John Newman, Executive Vice President of Infrastructure for Progress Rail. “In addition to recognizing the quality signal engineering and products produced to-date, this decision will help us grow our ECM product line around the world."

Progress Rail's subsidiary brands, including ECM, are widely recognized by customers across the globe and are iconic in the rail industry. With this change, ECM is now formally recognized as Progress Rail, a manufacturer of ECM-branded signaling components and systems.

The company is unveiling the new logo at InnoTrans in September 2022, the world's largest rail tradeshow.
