Project Engineer
Position: Project Engineer
Location: Pistoia (Italy)
Type of contract: permanent
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the technical-contractual scope of the project and leading the engineering team.
Works closely with the Project Manager and interfaces directly with the client's technical contact for the project.
Validates technical design choices with colleagues in the Verification & Validation area, with the Application Engineering Technical Advisor, and with the Product Development Department; his responsibilities also include identifying applicable regulations in the customer's country and ensuring that they are taken into account in the design of solutions; he is also available to perform on-site surveys and report any barriers to equipment installation.
The Project Engineer is responsible for engineering activities, quality, engineering costs and project delivery schedule; therefore, he/she must be able to assign various tasks to the project engineering team and ensure regular follow-up of activities.
Skills required:
- bachelor's degree in engineering (electronics, electrical, computer science, telecommunications) or equivalent experience;
- computer skills: MS Office suite; Autocad; MS Project; Windows O.S. as user;
- experience in project execution and management of engineering teams;
- good knowledge of engineering design methods and tools (systems design and/or modeling; requirements management; project planning; BoM/BoQ management);
- decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- knowledge of English: B2 or equivalent;
- knowledge of other languages welcome: (French, Spanish, German)
