We have a large network of facilities stretching across the United States providing everything from trackwork to railcar repair to recycling. With a presence in more than 30 states, we are conveniently located and strategically equipped to meet our customers' needs.
Our corporate headquarters is located in Albertville, Ala., in the scenic foothills at the southern end of the Appalachian Mountain range. Kansas City, Mo., serves as the base for our rail welding operations, and Chicago is home of the iconic EMD® brand. These divisions are integral parts of our business and are well-respected pioneers in their respective industries.
From the Mojave Desert to the Green Mountains in Vermont, all of our facilities are staffed with dedicated, hard-working employees who put our customers first and strive to go above and beyond in providing products and services that meet customer needs.

Progress Rail has become a leading supplier for the rail industry in Mexico, serving the region for nearly 20 years. With Mexico locations in Monterrey, San Luis Potosi, and Guadalajara, we create solutions for our customers to help maintain the mobility of railroad assets, while ensuring reliability and safety remain at the forefront.
SERVICES & SUPPORT
Our locomotive operations and solutions available in the region include inspections, corrective and preventive maintenance. By performing routine maintenance tasks and making necessary repairs, we help our customers’ fleets run more smoothly and efficiently, in turn increasing reliability and availability. Progress Rail also purchases, sells, and leases locomotives and switch engines.
