We manufacture and repair locomotive components and manufacture new locomotives, including our EMD^® SD70ACe, at our Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais facility. Our Curitiba location provides electronic systems to remotely monitor and service the locomotives.

Progress Rail has contributed to the economic growth in these regional locations. The installation of our facilities in Brazil resulted in the development of a new component supplier for the local rail market. This boosted the region directly and indirectly, as well as provided social benefits, such as employee training and education. These facilities are assisting in improving the availability and reliability of locomotives and, subsequently, increasing the capacity of railroad transportation in Brazil. Progress Rail provides jobs to over 420+ employees in the region.
