The Kershaw® 35-13 is a heavy-duty brush wheel tie plate broom capable of removing all ballast and debris from the tie plate areas after new tie insertion in high-speed gangs.
Frame: The main frame is of all-welded construction using heavy six-inch structural channel. Cross members are of five-inch channel with reinforcements.

Propel System: Three-inch diameter solid steel alloy axles with direct chain drive. A drive sprocket disconnect kit is provided for use when towing. Maximum towing speed is 16 mph.
Wheels & Brakes: 16 inch cast steel wheels. Spring applied, hydraulic released fail safe brakes on right side wheels. Heavy-duty axle bearings.
Electrical System: 12 volt dc negative ground. System maintained by engine driven 85 amp alternator. Color-coded and numbered wiring.
Hydraulic System: A variable displacement, pressure compensated pump operates at 2000 psi. Valves are electric solenoid controlled. They hydraulic tank houses a 100 mesh suction screen and a 10-micron return line filter.

Work Interrupt System: A work interrupt system stops the machine when an obstacle is encountered. An optional crossing work interrupt system stops the machine when the machine approaches a crossing.
