Senior Vice President of Information Services
Jim Lawley is senior vice president of information services for Progress Rail.
Jim was introduced to the company in 1992 as a consultant while implementing an accounting and warehouse distribution system for Steel Processing Services. He accepted full-time employment as manager of information systems after the merger with Electric Fuels Corporation in 1993 and Progress Rail Services was formed. He was promoted to vice president in 2002 after successfully implementing the company’s first Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and serving as the lead IT resource on numerous merger and acquisition projects.
Jim holds a degree in computer technology and is a Certified Information Systems Professional.
He lives in Gadsden, Ala., with his wife, and they have two daughters.
