DAVID DOWN

David Down is senior vice president for Australia and Southeast Asia, with responsibility for sales and operations in the region.

David joined Progress Rail in 2022. Prior to joining Progress Rail, David held executive and senior management experience in the freight rail sector with Aurizon and Pacific National in Australia. His experience also spans industry sectors with senior-level positions in energy generation, metals smelting, recycling, and consulting.

David holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Newcastle, Australia, and a senior executive master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Melbourne, Australia. As a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), David is a qualified company director.

David is based in Brisbane, Australia.
