MGE - Equipamentos e Servicos Ferroviarios Ltda. Announces Acquisition of Automation Equipment Leader for the Locomotive Market
Diadema, SP (May, 2010) MGE - Equipamentos e Servicos Ferroviarios Ltda, part of Caterpillar Inc.'s Progress Rail Services Division, entered into an agreement to acquire all the capital stock of Zeit Comercio e Montagem de Equipamentos Ltda (Zeit). Based in Curitiba, in Parana, Brazil, Zeit is a producer of automation equipment related to locomotives and other electronic equipment, such as electronic panels, displays, on-board computers and digital speedometers. Zeit will become part of MGE, under Progress Rail Services.
