The cost of fuel is one of the largest costs the railroad incurs. The sheer volume consumed, quantity of refueling events per locomotive over the course of a year, and the price differential that can exist by location both on and off property makes reconciling fuel invoices and tracking fuel consumption a daunting task.

The locomotive fuel report is designed to provide the user the benefits of being able to call up refueling information for a monitored locomotive for any point in time as far back as 12 months. Fuel consumption and quantity is no longer invisible either on or off property. This is a powerful tool in the hands of an accounting or purchasing department, which reconciles fuel invoices or determines the source of bad fuel. Invoices from foreign roads can be compared to the information on the webpage for verification.

This report is also expandable to suit future customer needs, i.e. refueling history by location and date, usage statistics.
