Progress Rail Manufacturing: New Facility in Muncie

Progress Rail Manufacturing Corporation, a subsidiary of Progress Rail Services, a Caterpillar Company, recently announced that it will open a new locomotive assembly plant in Muncie, Indiana. Progress Rail Manufacturing plans to begin assembly of locomotives in April 2011.

Progress Rail Manufacturing, an Equal Opportunity Employer, has posted jobs on WorkOne Indiana's website that are currently available at Progress Rail's Muncie facility, and will continue to post job openings as they occur.

Interviews for both salaried and hourly positions will be conducted throughout January, February, March and the following months and will be handled in conjunction with WorkOne, located at 201 East Charles Street, in downtown Muncie.

The jobs will require specific skills/experience in welding, mechanical, electrical and/or general parts assembly for locomotives, as well as painting of locomotives.

Available positions will require pre-employment drug testing, fitness-for-duty medical review and a thorough background check.
