Cab
The cab accommodates two operators (one for each cutterhead) and is equipped with air conditioning, heating, and pressurization. Each operator is provided with a set of foot pedals for controlling the direction of travel. The cab side walls are double wall construction and the Lexan windows are protected by heavy brush guards.
Cutterheads
The Model 32 is equipped with two 10 foot wide cutterheads, one on each side. The cutterheads are attached to hydraulically-controlled booms controlled from the cab. The cutterheads and booms are independently operated by two operators in the cab. Each cutterhead has two cutter disks and each disk is equipped with two free-swinging cutter blades.
Boom
The booms swing out to any angle up to 90 degrees from the track center and can be raised up to 45 degrees from the horizontal. The booms can be lowered up to 40 degrees below the horizontal plane of the track. A rear-mounted sliding counterweight allows single boom operation by hydraulically shifting the counterweight to the opposite side of the machine. Each cutterhead is independently controlled for pitch, tilt and rotate functions.
